Questions

Everything we have actually been asked, grouped: setting an event up, the day itself, the photographs, paying, and what happens to a guest’s picture.

Setting it up

How long does it take to set up?

About two minutes. You choose what the event is and a design, then give the names (or, for an open house, its title), a date and a venue, and you get back your own address, a private link for yourself, and the QR table cards ready to print.

Do I need an account?

No, and there is no password either. Your event opens from a private link. Lost it? Go to galerilive.com/login, choose who you are, and type your email: the link comes straight back.

How do I print the table cards?

From your own page, on any ordinary printer. Six to an A4 sheet, and the QR is drawn as vector at high error correction, because it gets read at an angle across a table with a glass on the corner of it.

Can I change the design later?

At any time, including on the day. A design dresses everything at once: the invitation, the booth, the screen in the hall and the cards.

On the day

Do guests need to install anything?

No. The booth runs in the phone browser. They scan the QR on the table and the camera opens.

What if the venue wifi is bad?

Photos are compressed on the phone before they are sent, so each one is a few hundred kilobytes. It works on mobile data.

Do you provide the screen or projector?

No, the venue’s own screen does the job. The photo wall is a web page, so any projector, LED screen or TV works: open your wall link on a laptop or smart TV and go full screen, the same way you’d play a slideshow.

Can I take a photo down?

Yes. You get a private page listing every photo, and hiding one removes it from the screen within a minute.

What is Develop later?

A disposable-camera mode. Guests shoot as normal, but nobody sees a photo until the time you pick. Then every screen shows them at once, and guests who asked get a ping. It comes with every event.

Is it only for weddings?

No. When you set it up you choose what it is: a wedding, an engagement, a birthday, an aqiqah, a baby shower, a graduation, an open house, a company event, or something else, like a reunion. The invitation speaks for that occasion, and you choose how it opens: Islam, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Chinese or none.

The photographs

How many photos does a guest get?

As many as they like. There is no limit per guest, and no limit on how many guests.

How does a guest find their photo afterwards?

Straight after taking it, they can save or share it. Later, they open the same link again: the photos they took are kept under "Photos from this phone", and everyone’s are in the gallery.

Can I download everything?

Yes. Every file at the resolution it was captured at, with the frame composited in rather than laid over the top.

What happens to a photo I hide?

It leaves the screen and the gallery within a minute. It still counts against that guest’s roll, because hiding is moderation. It would be odd to hand somebody a spare shot for having one taken down.

Paying

Do the photos have a watermark?

No. Your photos, the live screen and your invitation carry no Galeri Live logo.

How much is it?

RM499.00 for one event, with everything in it: every guest, the live screen, every design and frame, voice and video wishes, the full-resolution download, and the printed set (40 table cards, 40 stands, 2 big cards and 400 stickers) posted to you free. Guests never pay.

Is it a subscription?

No. One payment for one event. You have one wedding, not a monthly one. Nothing renews and no card is kept on file.

How can I pay?

FPX online banking, card or e-wallet through Billplz, which unlocks the event by itself; or a DuitNow transfer, which a person confirms, usually the same day.

Can I get a refund?

Before your printed set goes to the printer, in full, no reason needed. Once it is printed the set cannot be refunded, because every card carries your names; if anything is misprinted or damaged in the post, we reprint it. After the event, if it did not work, we refund the event itself. See the terms of use.

Privacy and safety

Who can see our photographs?

Anybody with the gallery address, which is what makes it a wall your guests can open. It is kept out of search engines, and you can close it at any time.

Will our photos be used to advertise this?

Never. The photographs on the Galeri Live website belong to one couple and are shown with their permission. Yours would only appear if you told us in writing that they could.

How long does the gallery stay up?

Guests can see and add photos for 30 days after the event. After that the gallery closes to guests, but your photos stay on your own page for a year, and then they are deleted. We email you a week and a day before, so you have time to save them. Events made on the old free plan keep its terms: open 7 days, photos kept 90.

A guest wants their photo removed.

One press on your page and it is gone from the screen within a minute. If they would rather not ask you, they can write to us with the six-character code under the photograph.
